My name is Pierre Colette. I am a Frenchman who lives in the Netherlands since 2011.

I started my professional life working 17 years for the maritime industry. First abroad, and ultimately in the Netherlands. Cargo ships of all types and running the docks were a big passion, although I also had to spend some time at the office.

Like many people, the corona crisis impacted the way I could conduct my work in the shipping industry. Home office for some time. This made me reflect on other passions I could explore and develop; working with my hands in general, and woodwork in particular was something I was thinking about for a while already.

Within a few months, but not without intensive preparation, and thanks also to the full support of my Dutch wife, I took the leap.

Since then I multiplied experiences under the umbrella of several experienced regional carpenters/builders, around Wassenaar and in other towns as well.

All-round work with Dutchmen and other European colleagues (full house renovations, building of garden houses, various roof works, commercial office, windows installation,...). That was for me the best way to learn the trade.

I also developed a network of professional colleagues who can now assist me on bigger projects or jobs requiring extra muscle power. I have also undertaken various projects on my own, which photographic testimonies are visible in this website. (I take the opportunity to thank again my clients for agreeing with me sharing photos of their houses).

In the meantime, I have also been building my own workshop, which allows me to widen my range of activities (woodwork and fabrication of windows and furniture's in particular), and be prepared when I start the work at my clients.

Clear agreements, respectful and honest relations are no marketing words to me. Regular written communications to confirm all important agreements during a business relation, serves both parties and gives serenity to all.

A well-planned operation and a clean worksite are important to me as well. This always contributes to the quality of the work and the service delivered.
